Commercial Opportunities
The process by which our fantastic product reaches our stores is a collaborative effort involving design, sourcing, buying, technology, merchandising and marketing.
Our design and sourcing teams are based in Hong Kong supported from the UK to ensure our products are of the highest quality, safe for all our customers and sourced in the most cost and time efficient and responsible way. We don't currently recruit for roles within these teams through this website but if you are interested in working with ELC in Hong Kong please send your CV and a covering letter to recruitment@elc.co.uk.
Our buying and merchandising teams are based in our office in Watford where they develop and select the products that drive our customer satisfaction and ensure that our suppliers, supply chain and stores have the right stock, in the right place for the right customer.
Buying
Buyers at ELC love great toys! They work closely with design and sourcing to develop our ELC own-brand products to make sure that they will not only engage, entertain and educate children but also deliver the sales and profitability to continue our success. Our buyers also work with the big brands to select the right products for us and manage those suppliers to deliver value for our business.

Merchandising
Merchandisers at ELC are passionate about being right - on sales, stock and availability! They are the traders in the commercial function and work with the buyers to understand the products in the pipeline, building a sales plan to deliver profitability for the business. Great merchandisers in our business know their numbers but also have the relationships internally and externally to ensure the value is generated from those numbers.
