Bonus Schemes

As part of our benefits package, we offer our colleagues the opportunity to add to their salary and benefits through bonus and incentive schemes. These schemes are designed to motivate, whilst helping the business achieve excellent results. We have a profit share scheme, which is open to all employees with at least 6 months service, and are not participants in the annual bonus scheme.

Employee Discount

All employees receive an employee discount card, which they can use to make purchases at both Early Learning Centre and Mothercare.

Childcare Voucher Scheme

All employees are entitled to opt to take some of their salary in childcare vouchers and because they are exempt from National Insurance contributions, this means that employees are able to make a saving on their childcare costs. Childcare vouchers are accepted by a wide range of childcare providers who are Ofsted registered, such as childminders and nurseries.

Sharesave Scheme

The Sharesave Scheme encourages Early Learning Centre employees to own shares in Mothercare plc, by offering the chance to buy shares in the Company. Employees make a monthly saving directly from their salary, which goes into their own Sharesave account. After participating for three years they get their savings plus a tax-free bonus that can be used to buy Mothercare shares at a discounted rate.

Recommend a Friend

The 'Recommend a Friend Scheme' aims to encourage all employees to introduce 'friends' to Early Learning Centre as potential employees. If the 'friend' is offered a position and satisfactorily completes three months service there may be a financial reward.
