Search Manager
We are currenly looking for a Group Search Manager to join our eCommerce Team. The outline of the role is to to plan and execute a search strategy both for PPC and SEO channels across Mothercare, ELC and Gurgle. Managing and optimising budget and resources to ensure competitive positioning and visitor growth.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Own agency relationship for PPC Search and drive relationship and direction with account managers.
- Deliver visitor plans through search traffic measuring visitor growth and ROI vs budget spent.
- Grow SEO mix of traffic across all sites, working with site teams to execute keyword, landing page and meta data plan as well as working with third parties where there are link building opportunities.
- Identify website enhancements to drive SEO improvements and work with the Site Development Manager to feed into the wider site development plan.
- Manage PPC budget and forecasting process, monitoring spend and ensuring performance targets are delivered within agreed budgets
- Drive relationships with the search engines to ensure developments and beta tests are taken advantage of when relevant and to understand the wider impact of the industry developments
Knowledge & Skills - Essential:
- Experience in a similar internet marketing role.
- Deep working knowledge of Search marketing tools & landscape - specifically bid management and optimisation tools
- Proficient with business reporting and analysis tools
- Excellent budget management skills
- High degree of commercial awareness (including performance evaluation)
- Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate well at all levels (both written and verbal)
- Assertive, confident and able to challenge established ways of working
- Proactive, resilient and able to work using own initiative
